How did you attract/address your audience?

The primary research was essential as it helped me and my group decides what would be best for our thriller. One question that I asked was “what is your favourite age certificate” this helped me decide what age range to base my film on. Another example would be “what interests you in a thriller?” which helped me in what to include in my thriller. Both my primary and secondary research helped me in creating my thriller as I then knew exactly what I needed to include and what to base my narrative on.

Who would be the audience for your media product?

A target audience is very important in a film as it sets the tone of a film and will guide the producer and scriptwriter on what they can, and can not include in there film to make it appropriate for there target age. My target audience for my thriller was people aged 15-25. Therefore I aged rated my film as a 15, I thought that this was an appropriate because it gave me more flexibility to include some violence without having to be to dulled down, but this could still be shown to a wide audience. My thriller appeals to my target audience through a verity of aspects. For example my characters would appeal to my target audience because they are of a similar age, which makes them more relatable. Another example could be the location of my thriller, because it is set in the forest that can be where some 15 year olds could socialise and is accessible to most people, therefore making my sequence more realistic and hopefully creates a greater sense of fear for the audience. My thrille rwill appeal to my audeince through the use of sound,
